What I Inspect
What to expect from your Inspection
As a Professional Home Inspector, I have the knowledge and
expertise to provide you with a thorough, non-intrusive, visual
inspection of your home, from foundation to roof top.
Outside
the home, I will check the grounds, exterior walls, roof,
driveway, deck, and related areas. Then I will move inside to
examine the interior walls, ceilings, floors, doors, and
windows. The heating, air-conditioning, plumbing, and electrical
systems will be examined to ensure that they function as
intended. Bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms receive a
thorough check, along with the attic and basement or crawl
space.
Below are some of the items I will be looking at during the
property inspection:
- Foundation and support structure
- Fireplaces (excludes the flue)
- Roof systems
- Moisture intrusion
- Water heater
- Ventilation
- Electrical capacity & components
- Structural integrity, walls & floors
- Steps and stairs
- Heating system
- Central Air Conditioning system
- Walks and driveways
- Exterior and interior covering
- Plumbing system & fixtures
- Attached garages & carports
- Surface drainage
- Windows & doors
- Insulation
- Gutters & downspouts
- Decks
What a Home Inspection IS NOT:
- It is not a Pest Control Certification
- It is not a Well/Septic/Drain Field Inspection
- It is not a Warranty or Guarantee of the Home
- A Predition of when any House Component or System will
Fail
